This course is a fit for those already working in the industry seeking more profound insights into production accounting and people with experience in accounting, budgeting, and finance looking to transition into the entertainment field.
Following the trajectory of an actual production, this six session online course will provide you with the tools necessary to advance your career in production accounting across all entertainment mediums.

This workshop will provide trainees with knowledge of:
Accurate reporting of finances
Budgeting, cost reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, petty cash, purchase orders, BTL and ATL payroll, per diem, and banking
Software, insurance, labor laws, production tax credits, rebates, and refunds
Basic production instruction so that graduates feel prepared to work in an actual production office
An understanding of departmental roles and operations
Upon successful completion of this intensive workshop, participants will be referable for assistant accounting positions on upcoming film and television productions.
Pre-requisites: No film/tv production experience is necessary. Some Word, Excel, and Quickbooks experience is a plus.
Stockade Works is particularly seeking diverse members of the community and women who are typically precluded from jobs in the film production sector. In order to attend workshops participants must be 18 years of age or older.

In 1991, Andy Wheeler began his entertainment career as an Assistant Accountant of Fox Televisions, “America’s Most Wanted.” Today, Andy is busy building a Financial Services company to support studios, producers, and boutique production service companies with their development, production and post accounting needs.
