Compensation: $17/hour

*Based on a 12-hr workday

Stockade Works is excited to announce a unique paid fellowship program in partnership with MRC Entertainment and Reel Works. The MRC Behind the Camera Initiative: Poker Face Season 2 will allow three selected fellows the opportunity to work full-time for 12 weeks on the set of Poker Face, a procedural Television Mystery-Drama.


ABOUT THE FELLOWSHIP:

The MRC Behind the Camera Initiative offers underrepresented talent onsite learning and mentorship across MRC TV Productions. The goal of the program is to provide people from diverse backgrounds with a strong foundation for professional development in our industry. MRC strives to address inequity in the entertainment industry by providing connections and skills to underrepresented groups traditionally excluded from roles in television. Access to mentorship and experiential education is the key to true inclusion and equality throughout the industry.

What You’ll Do:

The MRC Behind the Camera Initiative: Poker Face Season 2 is a 12-week program that will provide 3 fellows with valuable experience in multiple film crew departments on a rotating basis. Departments may include Camera, Art, Production Office, Costume, and Set Decoration. The fellows will receive an orientation training from Stockade Works prior to the start of the Fellowship, and participate in ongoing mentorship check-ins with Stockade Works, Reel Works, and MRC throughout the duration of the program.

After completing the program, the fellows will join both Stockade Works’ and Reel Works’ graduate networks and be provided with additional training opportunities, ongoing mentorship, and job referrals.

The Selection Process:

Stockade Works and Reel Works will recruit 3 fellows from their vast networks of graduates and community partners. Finalists will be interviewed by the two organization’s staff, MRC, and the Poker Face production. Interviews will take place on Zoom between July 8 and July 26.

Who should apply:

The MRC Behind the Camera Initiative: is looking for NYC-based residents, with an emphasis on 18-25 year-olds from underrepresented groups. BIPOC candidates are encouraged to apply. This includes, but is not limited to, Black, Latinx, Asian or Pacific Islander, American Indian, Alaskan Native and ethnically diverse candidates.

Your experience, skills, and attributes:

  • Interest in Television production

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Organizational skills

  • Eye for detail

  • Time management

  • An ability to multitask and meet deadline
