Are you interested in a career working in film and television? Learn the skills needed to work on set in our 2017 Crew Boot Camp.

Whether you have previous experience, or are new to the industry, this 3.5 day training led by experienced industry professionals will prepare you for the exciting and fast-paced world of production and working on set.

Workshop is limited to 25 participants.

ABOUT WORKSHOP:

This immersive bootcamp experience guides participants through the fundamentals of working in the industry and on a set, including script breakdowns, script continuity, who’s who on a call sheet, preparing for a day’s work, chain of command and other key production assistant roles. Once the fundamental foundation is set, the training moves on to a mock shoot where participants will have hands-on experience in several key film departments, and train directly with industry professionals.

This boot camp will provide trainees with:

  • Hands-on training experience in departments which include camera, sound, grip and electric, art, costume/wardrobe, hair/makeup, script supervision, and production

  • Basic Set 101 instruction so that graduates feel prepared to work on an actual set

  • Techniques for collaborating and working with actors, directors, and other departments

  • An understanding of departmental roles and operations

  • Rental order fulfillment, truck load-in/out, camera logs, departmental particulars, video village set up and breakdown, laying of dolly track, handling coils and cables, operating a boom, prop continuity, and more

Stockade Works is particularly seeking diverse members of the community and women who are typically precluded from jobs in the film production sector.

Stockade Works believes that film, media, and tech should be accessible for all people. If an accessibility offering such as American Sign Language Interpretation, live captioning, audio descriptions or a post event transcript would aid in your participation, please let us know.
