Stockade Works announces its “Meet the Professionals” Salon Series at White Feather Farm in Saugerties, NY. Pairing accomplished department heads from diverse backgrounds with moderators also working in the industry, the series will cover topics specific to certain areas of expertise in Film & Television, including cinematography, production design, costume design, editing, and visual FX. These informative learning and career awareness discussions will serve those already working in the industry as well as those looking to enter the workforce for Film/TV, a sector rapidly growing in the Hudson Valley. 

 


 

CINEMATOGRAPHY SALON SPEAKER:

Christine Ng: Director of Photography

Christine Ng is a Hong Kong born, New York raised cinematographer and a graduate from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Her cinematography work spans commercials, music videos, documentaries and narrative.

The first commercial she shot aired during Super Bowl XLVI.

The first feature-length documentary Christine shot was the Emmy nominated and Critic’s Choice winner “Everything is Copy” for HBO. Her work has screened at festivals worldwide including SXSW, Palm Springs, Outfest, LA Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, NY Film Festival, IFF Boston and many more.

Her latest work can be seen on Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, Peacock and Showtime. She lensed the “Subway Vigilante” episode of “Trial By Media” on Netflix and “AKA Jane Roe” on Hulu. She shot the film adaptation for Ta-Nehisi Coates’s critically acclaimed “Between The World and Me”, which can be seen on HBO Max. She filmed Phoebe Robinson’s comedy special “Sorry, Harriet Tubman” for HBO Max and Alyssa Limperis’s comedy special “No Bad Days” for Peacock.

She shot 3 episodes of Issa Rae’s latest show, “Rap Sh!t”. Christine shot 2 seasons of “Ziwe”, a variety show produced by A24 for Showtime. She just wrapped on Rian Johnson’s TV series, “Poker Face” for Peacock starring Natasha Lyonne.

She was named a “Rising Star of Cinematography” by American Cinematographer in 2022.

Beth Davenport: Co-Founder Upriver Studios, Stockade Works

Beth is a transmedia strategist and storyteller with over fifteen years of experience in non-profits, documentary film, commercial production, post, and digital strategy. Her passion is using media and technology to create a positive impact on society. Beth has directed and produced documentary films and commercials for BBC, Sundance Channel, PBS, NBC, Arte France, among others. Beth has worked in non-profit management in New York City and the Hudson Valley and brings over 15 years of non-profit experience to this position. Beth believes that creating an entertainment and technology ecosystem with access for all will transform the region economically and position it as a leader in social innovation.
