Two and a half day Costume & Wardrobe workshop led by Costume Designer Lisa Padovani
This hands-on Costume & Wardrobe workshop led by award-winning costume designer, Lisa Padovani, will take trainees through the pre-production and production processes of a costume and wardrobe department to prepare graduates to work on television and film sets in entry level positions.
Trainees will dive into creative aspects of a production to gain a basic understanding of breaking down a script, creating mood boards, and working with Directors and Production Designers. Trainees will focus on fundamental departmental skills needed including: organization, communication, budgeting, expense tracking, working with and fitting actors, basic alterations, and more. The workshop will also teach Set 101 basics to prepare graduates to work on set.
Upon successful completion of this intensive, participants will be referable for positions on upcoming film and television productions shooting in the Hudson Valley and NYC areas.
Full and partial scholarships are available.
Lunch will be provided on Saturday and Sunday as well as light snacks and beverages throughout the workshop.
Pre-requisites: Stockade Works is particularly seeking diverse members of the community and women who are typically precluded from jobs in the film production sector. No experience is necessary. In order to attend workshops participants must be 18 years of age or older.
