Stockade Works’ apprentices, along with graduates of our training program, recently worked on a new Hudson Valley-based documentary series, BREAKING BREAD. Produced, co-written and co-directed by Stockade Works’ co-founder Mary Stuart Masterson and her new production company, Quality Pictures, this all-Hudson Valley production is an amazing project for Stockade Works’ trainees to be involved in!
Cassandra Del Visco, one of the producers of BREAKING BREAD, shares her blog about the shoot:
“I have the great pleasure of being part of a wonderful new Hudson Valley-based documentary series, BREAKING BREAD, and I’m excited to share some details about the project.
“Breaking Bread is a documentary series that explores our emotional relationship to food and the power of food in our families and communities. It is the creation of Food Network star and proud Kingston resident, Michele Ragussis, along with myself and Mary Stuart Masterson’s production company, Quality Pictures.
“Stockade Works provided local crew and production services and the producers aim is to be the first series in the Hudson Valley to train, mentor and employ Stockade Works crew over a long-term project. The shoot was a wonderful realization of trainees gaining skills and being mentored alongside seasoned professionals – all hailing from the local Hudson Valley!
“Mary Stuart is co-directing and co-writing the project with Quality Pictures partner, Alexandra Brodsky, and the project is being produced by me, Michele Ragussis, and Quality Pictures.
“I’m looking forward to continuing the exciting work on this production alongside our Hudson Valley based cast and crew! Stay tuned!”
